Yesterday afternoon I had an emergency root canal. My first (and hopefully last). I insisted on getting some nitrous oxide before the procedure because a) I’ve never had a major dental procedure without it, therefore I’ve never had a bad dental experience, and b) I’ve heard many times how terribly painful root canals are.
While laying there breathing in nitrous oxide as if I were taking my last breaths on earth, I had some crazy thoughts. Most of which I was trying desperately to remember, but failed to do once they started drilling.
One thing I do remember thinking about, is that the absence of pain, after having great pain is actually a better feeling than having no pain at all. I’m not sure that makes sense, but it made a lot of sense at the time.
Has anyone ever felt that before, or understand what I mean?
It’s not entirely clear who Strasser is. What is clear is that a person who called himself Kenny Strasser, Kenny Strassburg, or K-Strass managed to persuade at least five television stations - four of which are in Wisconsin - to put him on live television in recent weeks.
